Freebies! Brings to mind celebs leaving awards' ceremonies with goodies' bags stuffed with iPads, Prada long-johns etc. But we go waaaay beyond this. Below, and despite the punishing economic climate, we give you.... free logos! Free photos of Buddy! Free screensavers!! Oh yes. We love love love our members and what's ours is yours. (You probably won't want my borderline personality disorder, which is fair enough.)

Screensavers

What could be nicer than to come into your office and be greeted by a computer screen photo of Buddy scampering across the park, a ward manager wearing a newspaper costume or inspiring patient art? Admittedly, discovering that the rota is fully covered and patients all enthusiastically engaged in art therapy groups would be almost as good. But that’s a bit beyond the scope of this website, so here are some gorgeous, uplifting, fun screensavers. Huge thanks to everyone who invited Buddy and me to visit wards, took part in the Star Wards festival, sent us photos, agreed to be in the photos …And to Stacy from SLAM whose screensaver of Buddy gave me the idea to make ‘official’ Star Wards’ ones. Details for how to install these are further down the page.

Grooving it up – special effects

If you’d like to see Buddy fly in across your screen, or ward staff dressed as hippies gradually materialising, there are loads of different special effects you can use for your screensaver. They’re all on the screensaver personalisation feature which you can access via the Control Panel. Click on settings and footle around with how long each picture shows for, how it shows up etc.

How kosher are the screensavers?

I made the screensavers on Screensaverfactory which from its customers (eg Sony, Kentucky Fried Chicken) appears to be highly legit and safe. (Perhaps safer than some of KFC's products.) And I’ve stored the downloadable file on Google docs, for easy access by everyone. But you might want to check with your IT department.

LOGOS

Does my logo look big in this document?

Members often use the Star Wards’ logo on PowerPoint presentations, posters, pepper pickling pots etc. Thanks! We love this! (I particularly love it when Buddy’s picture pops up periodically.)

To save you having to rummage around Google images and end up with the old non-sparkly logo or photos of Buddy looking bewildered, feel free to download the images below and use them as you need to.

Star Ward's logo as vector or EPS file. Vector files do not degrade when enlarged but need professional graphic programs such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to open.
