Shemesh

I'm very fortunate to be a member of a local day (or, more glamorously, 'well-being') centre - Kadimah, run by Jewish Care. It's a wonderful service, and I've enthused about it in a blog for Mind. Kadima means 'forwards' in Hebrew, and to extend this bonus Hebrew vocab experience, our newsletter is called Shemesh, which means sun. Thanks to the skills, commitment and spectacular humour of the editor, David Filabon, Shemesh is by far the best service user newsletter (actually magazine) I've seen. Star Wards is delighted and honoured that we have been given exclusive, global e-publishing rights for Shemesh! Toda raba chaverim! (Many thanks, friends.)

Introduction from Shemesh's deeply fab editor, David Filabon

We're all very excited that Star Wards' director Marion Janner (who is also a member of Kadimah, our centre for wellbeing in Stamford Hill, North London) has kindly agreed to attach the latest issue of our Quarterly magazine for such a wide readership. Shemesh is a completely user-led publication and we hope that you enjoy reading it as much as we enjoy putting it together!
