Lots of wards take the opportunity of Red Nose Day http://www.rednoseday.com for plenty of zany fun, and bucket-fulls of feeling good. This year’s Red Nose Day is particularly significant as Comic Relief has made even more of a commitment to mental health than previously. It’s one of the main themes of the day and they’ve also given £1m to the anti-stigma Time fo Change campaign. www.time-to-change.org.uk
And Comic Relief are also generous funders of Star Wards so we love them even more than ever.
Fund-raising activities are perfect for involving not only ward staff and patients, but other hospital staff (eg admin – and get those finance people applying their skills to all those good causes!), family, friends, people living locally. Add some favourable media coverage and everyone’s very happy.
Please do let us know what you get up to. Thanks!
